Boredom forces you to organize your MP3s Sat Jan 24, 2004 6:45:07 PM#3149Perm Link
Yes, I've organized all of them and while I don't have as many as some people, I do have a lot. Now instead of having one giant folder, I have 39 subfolders! Yay!
=\
It only took me half an hour to organize everything too. Very dissapointing.
God bless:
Jeffrey Dahmer, David Berkovitz, Albert DeSavo,
Ted Bundy, Albert Fish, John Wayne Gacy,
Edward Gein, Charles Manson, and Harvey Carignan.
Oh, I'm a freak when it comes to organizing my music. I have one big music folder, followed by folders for each of the bands I have music for, followed by folders for each album I own from that band.
I did that, but then I thought to myself "fuck this" after I noticed it took sixteen years to put my playlist together everytime I wanted to listen to it on the computer. Instead, I just changed the filenames so the band name is first and put them in alphabetical order. It's much faster for me.

You do that too?! I kind of got lazy after I did all my Cradle Of Filth and My Dying Bride one's though. Maybe later I'll finish.
Hah! I used to have six hundred MP3s, now I only have three hundred. o.O;

I did this only after I started using DC++ and saw that other people's libraries were neatly organized, which I found much easier to browse then sprawled across the expanse of one gigantic folder. Do not do unto other which you would not want done unto you. I believe that's how the saying goes?
I'm planning to organise my mp3's.... eventually, but I'm a procrastinator, so I doubt it'll happen. The plan is the change every folder's content names into "[Track Number - Artist - Track Name]" for mp3's and just fill in the relevant sections for wma's. Then listen to all of them, and if any track skips, then download one of a superior quality and replace it. I feel tired just typing that....
